What do you eat?

One of the biggest questions I get when explaining paleo (after the initial, “what’s that?”) is, “so wait, what do you eat then?” This post is in response to that question. I thought I’d post a just one typical day of eating paleo, before I start posting by weeks. As I said before, I am no expert. Do your research before you start a paleo diet.

By the way, I CrossFit at 6 in the morning so I usually have a pre WOD (workout of the day) snack before I head over there. And coffee. Or I would die.

Here it goes:

December 3

Pre WOD

  • Handful of macadamia nuts
  • Coffee with about 2 tablespoons of coconut milk (canned full fat)

Breakfast

  • Protein shake
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 2 beef breakfast balls (I’ll post the recipe later this week)
  • 1/2 Avocado

Lunch

  • Leftover paleo jambalaya
Afternoon snack
  • Coffee with 2 tbsp coconut milk
  • Leftover brisket
Supper
  • Almond baked chicken
  • Roasted cauliflower
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Frozen strawberries, 1/2 banana, coconut milk blended into ice cream consistency
